We work with partners from other schools within the University, and with researchers and medical colleagues from clinical settings, to carry out innovative, cross-disciplinary research.

Our collaborative work includes drug development, bioinformatics, chemistry and medical oncology.

The Centre, led by Professor John Chester, Professor Oliver Ottman (clinical leads), Professor Duncan Baird and Dr Matthew Smalley (non-clinical leads), supports a number of research projects involving our researchers.

Drs Brancale and Westwell collaborate with us within the areas of cancer drug design, discovery and development, extending the capability and reach of our activity in cancer therapeutics.

Professor Trevor Dale’s research is focused on Wnt signalling in normal and cancer stem cells, specialising in 3D tissue culture and imaging platforms.
