Physical Learning Spaces programme
We have embarked on a £41m rolling programme to reshape our teaching and learning spaces, and to make significant improvements to furniture, fixtures, fittings and audio-visual equipment.
Rooms at Heath Park Campus, Main Building, Queen’s Building & Glamorgan Building have already been refurbished as part of the project, which aims to transform teaching and learning spaces across our campuses.
Other improvements have included improving acoustics in lecture rooms, the provision of power at fixed desks to enable students to charge devices, and more effective and efficient heating and ventilation.
Event capture technology has been installed in teaching rooms, to enable the recording of lectures, demonstrations and other events.
Improvements are planned to continue up to 2023.
Learning in a research-led environment means students interact with researchers working at the frontiers of knowledge in their disciplines.
