We need CEOs who are empowered to place positive impact at the same level as profit.

Businesses should be run with trust and integrity, because when profit is the first or only measure of success, it can be disastrous. The financial crisis of 2008 is an example of what happens when an industry lacks integrity.

At Cardiff Business School, we use real-world examples to demonstrate how these values are integral to successful businesses.

My students learn how the world of business is evolving; they understand the traditional aims of business, but alongside that they appreciate the importance of creating value for everyone.

I believe that trust predicates success, and without it, businesses will fail.
