I stand for_creativity
Inequality has a significant negative impact on business.
It exists everywhere and it’s not just wealth discrepancies but also gender bias and racism that mean people are denied opportunities to freely explore their creativity and thrive.
As a woman in the fashion industry, I have directly felt the impact of inequality. Because fashion is a female-driven industry, it suffers from an outdated idea that fashion is ‘floaty’, but it’s a highly influential, trillion-dollar, global industry.
I have been judged for my gender and lost pitches where I was the best in the room. This is why I place enormous value on respect and creativity. It’s important to me that everyone feels safe to express themselves.
Fashion has always been a big part of my life and it has shown me that it’s through creativity that we build confidence, find motivation, solve problems, promote change and find ways to do things differently.
