As a research-led institution, you can be assured that our teaching is derived from the very latest thinking. It is delivered through a variety of different methods, case studies, simulations and practical applications, to ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Service Design

This 1-day course will provide you with an understanding of the core concepts of Service Design.

Facilitated by Sarah Lethbridge, you will learn tools which help you to better understand your customers so that you can reorientate your services to better deliver what your customers want and need.

Lean Six Sigma Fast Track Yellow and Green Belt training

Join Professor Maneesh Kumar in person on this five-day programme that will give you the tools and techniques you need to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your business processes.

The Yellow Belt and Green Belt training is accredited by the Lean Competency System (LCS) at Level 1a and Level 1c respectively. There is an online test through the LCS Assessment Centre for both Yellow Belt and Green Belt courses and an implementation project is required as part of the Green Belt assessment.

Expert LEAN Programme

This immersive 5-day programme combines the waste reduction power of data-driven Lean Six Sigma with Industry 4.0 technologies.

It will equip you with the tools and techniques for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and unlock transformative improvements within your organisation and its supply chain. It has the potential to deliver a bottom-line impact of over £30k within 3-4 months of Green Belt project completion.

It will provide new insights to those who already have a good understanding of lean, and also to those who are experienced in the application of lean within a manufacturing context and wish to understand the latest contributions discovered in the world of service.

Different, cutting-edge perspectives about a variety of improvement methodologies will be introduced and their strengths and weaknesses critically evaluated. At the end of the programme, delegates will possess a deep understanding of the latest thinking within the improvement arena.

Core programmes

Our core programmes form the basis of our Executive Education offering and include a focus on leadership, innovation and efficiency in business.

Building on the success of the National Assembly’s Women in Public Life Development scheme, facilitated by us and development agency Chwarae Teg, this programme will help organisations to redress inequality within their senior leadership team.

This will be achieved through reflection, coaching and group evaluation of the findings from our academic research. A transformative development programme, critically aimed at both men and women, this initiative will help organisations keen to achieve 50:50 representation by 2020.

In line with our new School strategy, this leadership programme will assist you to appreciate the benefits of an ethical approach to business, one that understands the importance of contributing to society as well as generating profit.

You will be invited to investigate and discuss the grand challenges facing society and, in partnership with some of the leading lights within leadership, public management and governance, start to raise and respond to these challenges.

This programme brings together Professor Robert Morgan and Dr Joe O’Mahoney, thought leaders in their field, who will work with organisations to: assess their current innovative capability and develop the innovation capability of participants so as to effectively harness and increase their innovation potential.

Our Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water case study will give you a better understanding of how this programme can work for your organisation.

We offer organisations and individuals a unique perspective on service improvement thanks to its prestigious improvement heritage. This course discusses different types of service innovation and improvement methodologies.

It assists you to understand and practice a range of techniques, whilst considering the practicalities of how to deploy these tactics within your organisation, winning hearts and minds.

This five-day Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt training is a practical programme that enables you to start applying the tools and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, irrespective of the size or type of industry.
