Breakfast Briefing series

The Executive Education Breakfast Briefing series is just one way we engage with the local business community and wider society.

The series offers business practitioners, policy makers, media, and other stakeholders, the opportunity to hear our latest research from across a range of business and management themes. Our diverse and inspiring speakers represent the world of academia and business practice. They bring with them new insights and new perspectives to challenge your current thinking and stimulate debate.

Inclusive breakfast briefings

The pandemic radically changed our breakfast briefings, enhancing the diversity of our guest speakers and audience. Within six weeks of the Spring 2020 lockdown, Cardiff Business School hosted its first fully online briefing using Zoom, which was then relatively new. These briefings helped our community stay connected and provided a sense of normalcy. Over the following year, participation surged, allowing us to invite presenters from afar and engage a nationwide audience, reaching individuals and organisations across Wales and beyond.

Our briefings have always aimed to facilitate networking within the business community. When restrictions eased, we were eager to resume in-person events. Now, our briefings are fully hybrid, allowing local attendees to join in person while accommodating those who are remote or unable to attend.

The onset of the pandemic and the associated lockdowns enforced change, but we have been able to turn the situation into a positive one, and our briefings are more popular than ever. If you’ve missed any of the sessions or would like to review what was discussed, please look at our 'Previous breakfast briefing' section below.

Join us at our next one: Pursuing international growth on Thursday 24 October 2024.
