We are focused on providing you with opportunities to apply the academic theory of the classroom in a professional setting, ensuring you are work ready and attractive to employers, after graduation.
We have a dedicated Careers Adviser on-site who can provide you with expert and specific business based advice and guidance, as well as a Placement Manager, who manages and develops the range of work experience and internship opportunities.
We offer a wide variety of resources and opportunities to help give you the advantage when looking for graduate roles. Through our Careers+ suite we provide: career workshops and consultations; CV support; psychometric testing; assessment centre preparation; and interview practice.
In addition to the School resources, you will have access to Cardiff University’s Careers service and the Global Opportunities Centre.
Social integration
There are a range of social events arranged at School and University level, designed to introduce you to the culture and community of Cardiff and Wales. Cardiff University Students Union (CUSU) supports more than 200 social groups and 60 sports clubs designed to enhance your university experience and enrich student-life.
Constanza Perretti is a former Welsh Open Champion and Italian Champion in fencing. Originally from Venice, Constanza studied our Economics and Management (BSc Econ) programme from 2015 to 2018.
The University is based in the heart of Wales’ capital city, Cardiff, which is one of the fastest growing European capital cities and offers a diverse, exciting and cosmopolitan experience. There are a range of attractions, a number of excellent bars and restaurants, a vibrant arts and cultural scene and a variety of sporting venues. When you want to escape the city limits, a short journey, by car or public transport, will take you to beautiful beaches, scenic coastline or rugged mountain terrain.
