MSc Environmental Design of Buildings

This programme enables students to develop the knowledge and ability needed to design healthy, comfortable environments in and around buildings that place a minimal strain on global resources.
The programme prepares students to facilitate environmental design as part of their role on a building design team and highlights the need to adapt to changing demands as sustainability policies are increasingly supported by the public and by governments worldwide.
We offer local and distance learning options on this programme.

I learnt a lot about environmental design and building services. As a student with an architectural background, I developed engineering skills including building performance simulation, lighting analysis and calculating the heating/cooling load of the building as well as sustainable thinking and environmental awareness, hence I have become a more eco-friendly designer. I also improved my report writing, presentation and communication skills, and self-confidence, not only for the course but beyond.
