Through our varied public engagement activities for our local, national or international communities, we aim to share our knowledge and expertise beyond academia. Rooting University work within local communities and places enables us to extend the reach and share our work with diverse audiences.

When we work with schools, colleges, young people and their families, we aim to inspire next generations and the support systems around them to have a better understanding and take an interest in the world around them. By offering learning experiences both inside and outside of a classroom setting, we build on a shared investment into future generations.

We are an open and accessible university with a civic purpose. We champion equality, equity, diversity and inclusion by prioritising engaging with under-represented and disadvantaged communities.
