Jennifer Wood
Jennifer is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a member of the Association for Project Management. She has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Loughborough.
Jennifer began her career at Thames Water, eventually specialising in developing contracts for construction works. This led to her working at Shell for a period of time in their offshore pipelines sector, and to various assignments at a major UK-based Consultancy.
Jennifer became interested in the overall development and management of major projects whilst working on large developments in Canary Wharf and the City of London, eventually working for the project management consultancies Mace and Turner & Townsend, delivering projects and providing project management consultancy services for a broad range of clients including the MOD, UKAEA, and several Universities. She has been the Director of Estates at Oxford University and at the University of Wolverhampton, overseeing major development and refurbishment programmes at both Universities, including setting strategic estates development plans for the future.
She has held advisory roles at CaBE and for the University of Hong Kong; and was on the board of Platform Housing Association for 9 years. She has also held non-executive appointments on 2 UK parliamentary boards, and a Kent-based LatCo, focused on property management.
