Presentation Club

Practice makes perfect, so the University Graduate College will be hosting a regular session for those students who wish to have the opportunity to practice their presentation skills. Run over lunchtimes, you will be able to rehearse a pre-prepared 5 minute presentation and receive feedback from staff and peers. Anyone who feels they would benefit from direct advice on their presentation is welcome to attend, as is anyone who simply wishes to observe and join in a discussion on specific topics.

The first confirmed dates and times for sessions are:

06 March 2014, 12:30 – 14:00
17 March 2014, 12:30 – 14:00
31 March 2014, 12:30 – 14:00

PLEASE NOTE: The sessions shown in black will be facilitated by Sarah Brasher (who runs ‘Presentation Skills: An Introduction’). These will take place in the Hadyn Ellis Building. The sessions shown in red will be self-facilitated by students, and led by Sarah Tatum, ENGIN. These will take place in the Queens Building (ENGIN).

These sessions will be informal in nature. Although presenters will need to book a slot to guarantee a turn, you may turn up without booking on the off-chance that a practice slot is available, or simply to observe and contribute to discussions. To book a presenting slot click here.

Bring your own sandwiches. Tea/coffee etc will be provided.

A ‘Connections Community’ is also available to join, giving presentation tips and advice and allowing exchange of information through an online forum.
