British Science Festival Bursaries – Deadline 15 July
Cardiff University’s Community Engagement Team has two bursaries to allow students (undergraduate or postgraduate) to attend the British Science Festival, which will be held in Newcastle between 7 and 12 September 2013.
These bursaries represent a great opportunity for students to broaden their horizons, meet leading scientists and speakers, engage in debate and discussion about the impact of science in society, meet potential new employers from top science and technology companies and enjoy the atmosphere of an event that is extensively covered in the media.
Bursaries cover accommodation, meals, free tickets to a number of pay for events and also offer a number of other opportunities to get involved with festival activities such as science communication experience, press office, competition judging etc. Please note that the bursary does not cover student travel expenses.
If you wish to be considered for a bursary, please send 150 words outlining what you think you would gain from attending the festival to Community@Cardiff.ac.uk by Monday 15 July.
