English language programmes

Choosing the right course will depend on your current level of English language and what you're hoping to achieve. We offer a variety of courses, ranging from eight weeks to nine months.

Our students come from all over the world to improve their English before commencing university study in the UK.

We provide three types of English Language programme. Whichever programme you decide on, you'll receive help and support.

English for University Study Programme

This full-time course is for international students who do not meet the English language requirements for their course.

Pre-sessional summer courses

Our intensive English courses are for students who hold an offer to study at Cardiff University and have an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.0 or above.

Academic English Skills for International Students

These free, flexible English language courses help you get more from your degree, by improving your academic language and communication skills during your studies.
