The purpose of my visit:
Invitation to speak in a lecture series on the future directions of the social sciences.
Who I worked with:
Barbara Adam was the organizer of the series. She is a long-standing friend and colleague of mine from the field of time studies. I also enjoyed meeting with Harry Collins, a colleague from STS, and catching up with the latest news from his expertise project.
What I gained from my visit:
I very much enjoyed the discussion following my lecture. I gained a better understanding not only of the work of the members of the department, but also a feeling where the research frontier is seen to move in this part of the academic world.
