Celebrating Learning at Work Week 2016
13 May 2016
Cardiff University is celebrating Learning at Work Week with a range of free events.
Learning at Work Week (16th - 22nd May 2016) is a great opportunity to try out something new and a bit different from normal day to day work activities. It’s an annual festival co-ordinated by the Campaign for Learning, a national charity working towards social inclusion through learning, and we have a number of events running during this period.
Clare Sinclair, Head of Cardiff University’s CPD Unit, comments ‘in this ever changing world of work, making the most of opportunities available to help us learn and develop and acquire new skills is more important than ever. Through our contribution to Learning at Work Week we hope to help inspire and motivate people to continue or re-connect with learning and all the benefits it brings to life.’
This year’s theme is all about connecting and sharing with others, which is when many of us learn best. If you’d like to develop a new skill, understand more about health and environmental hot topics or learn about your local community then there are a number of events on offer, visit the University's Public events pages to find out more.
