Forget the clichés about making New Year resolutions and think about choices instead.
Perhaps you could consider learning something new, broadening your knowledge and meeting new people – with a part-time course at the Cardiff Centre for Lifelong Learning.
The new Choices Spring 2011 prospectus tells you about all the courses in the following subject areas starting in January:
Courses are open to all adults and you don’t need any qualifications. So, don’t worry if it is a long time since you have studied.
Here are some comments from students:
"Life is too short. If you are looking to change your career or just have an interest in a subject, just go for it – it could just change your life!" - Andrew, Web Design and Publishing
"I have found a warm and welcoming environment that nurtures and challenges me on a personal and intellectual level. The course content is set out in a way which is easy to follow, especially if you have been away from studying for some time, like I have. It provides a gentle introduction to advanced learning." - Hayley, Exploring the Past, Humanities
"Attending the course gave me enthusiasm to learn more! You have nothing to lose – but everything to gain – by trying something new. It’s a great way of meeting people who have the same interests as you, too." – Leah, Science and Environment
