2 week pre-enrolment for Computer Studies

If you wish to enrol on a computer course you MUST do so at least 2 weeks before the course starts. This will allow for your computer account to be set-up and your username and password to be forwarded to your tutor for use in the first lesson.

Payment

All enrolments must be accompanied by payment. Enrolment should preferably be undertaken prior to the first class but can be accepted at the first class if places are still available.

Employer Invoices

If your company is going to pay for your course, you will need to attach a letter of authorisation from your company. The University will then issue an invoice for payment.

Cancellations and Refunds

The Centre reserves the right to cancel or curtail courses. When this occurs, a full or proportional refund will be given automatically. If you wish to withdraw from the course, written notification must be received at least 5 working days prior to the beginning of the course, we can then organise the refund. Your refund might take up to six weeks to process and will be subject to a £10.00 administration fee.

Student Withdrawal and Refunds

If you wish to withdraw from a course, written notification must be received at least 5 working days prior to the beginning of the course and we will then process your refund. At busy periods your refund may take up to four weeks to process and will be subject to a £10 administration charge. Please note that this refund policy does not apply to study tours. Once a course has started, we will no longer issue a refund to a student who decides to withdraw.

Transfers

Once the course has started, we may be able to grant a transfer to another course under certain circumstances e.g. the level is not appropriate. Please note that transfers will not automatically be agreed in all circumstances, and requests should be submitted in writing (although students can phone in the case of urgent requests). If a transfer is granted and the new course fee is the same, or lower, there will be no charge. If the new course fee is higher then the balance must be paid in full. Please note that you will only be able to transfer a course fee once.

External Centre Membership Fees

Some centres, outside the University may charge a small centre membership fee which is payable separately and not a charge made by the University. If you have any questions about this, please ask at the appropriate centre.

Please note that receipts may not be sent out by the start of the course.
