Introduction to the Pathway

The Pathway to a Degree in Translation has been specifically designed for adults returning to education. It allows you to study within a flexible timescale, framework and environment which can fit around other commitments such as work and family. Most importantly, the pathway has the potential to contribute directly to a highly marketable degree – students successfully completing the pathway and passing the subsequent degree interview can enter their first year of undergraduate study with half the credits for Year 1 already completed.

The Pathway to a Degree in Translation is a collaboration between the Cardiff Centre for Lifelong Learning (LEARN) and the School of European Languages, Translation and Politics (EUROP) at Cardiff University. It combines LEARN’s vast experience of supporting adult learners with EUROP’s exciting teaching and research expertise. Pathway modules are taught by people who have expert subject knowledge and the ability to support, inspire and share their learning with you. So if you’re driven by a love for languages and a desire to take your study of them further, contact us today!
