This project is scoping the potential for a major research intervention designed to understand the facts on the ground of contemporary media networks – their strengths and vulnerabilities – with a view to informing policy-making relevant to regional, local and ultra-local media provision and design.
An important aspect of this understanding arises from the capacity for individuals and communities of place and interest to generate and co-create their own media platforms, solutions and discourses through acts of “creative citizenship.”
