Dr John Jewell is the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Cardiff BA in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies.

As a member of the Tom Hopkinson Center for Media research, research and teaching interests include the representation of asylum seekers and refugees in the British media and the history and development of the popular press. I am also interested in propaganda and communication and the role and function of Welsh media.
