Online Football Fandom – A study of Swansea City fans on Not606.com
My thesis is concerned with online football fandom, looking specifically at Swansea City FC and a selection of its fans that are members of the forum Not606.com. It aims to explore issues such as the role of nationalism in helping to construct football fan identities, the divide between ‘active’ and ‘passive’ spectatorship and support, and the significance of online technologies in constructing fan interaction.
