Briefly describe your current position.
I am currently responsible for corporate communication and media strategy, and provide ongoing communication consultancy to a number of major multinational clients.
What is the best thing about your current position?
Most recently, I was a senior account manager of the corporate communication practice of Edelman Beijing. I planned and implemented communication programs to maximize the value of the clients’ sponsorship of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, including Johnson & Johnson, VW and Audi.
I also provided support to the public affairs practice, particularly for clients in the financial industry. Prior to my time with Edelman, I was with Powell Tate | Weber Shandwick Beijing.
How well did your JOMEC education prepare you for your current position?
During my studies at JOMEC/Cardiff, I obtained my first professional job to be an onsite TV reporter for Formula One GP which it’s a great opportunity to open my eyes/mind, and become a professional journalist.
What did you enjoy most about studying here?
Nice tutors, interesting course and a nice/friendly place to study.
Why did you choose JOMEC/Cardiff as a place to study?
I was an inter working at China Central TV Station (CCTV) in 1997 when Mr. Tim Westlake visited News Centre and delivered a presentation about JOMEC and Cardiff there. I was attracted by his presentation, and decided to choose JOMEC/Cardiff for my further education.
What are your plans and hopes for your professional future?
With a curious heart to the world, I like photograph, movies, music, reading, travel, cooking—everything could make my life unforgettable!
