The Cardiff School of Dentistry has a reputation for excellence in teaching, research and clinical care, with a history of postgraduate education dating back over 30 years. This reputation has been enhanced by recent developments including significant investment in the School’s facilities (including in 2009/10 the development of a dedicated postgraduate student study suite and refurbishment of our research laboratories), the award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher & Further Education in 2010, and being ranked 1st among all UK dental schools for overall student satisfaction in the 2010 National Student Survey and in the top 5 UK dental schools in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
The School currently has a portfolio of five taught postgraduate programmes with Masters in Clinical Dentistry, Conscious Sedation, Implantology, Orthodontics and Tissue Engineering. The School also has a vibrant postgraduate research culture, with a range of research degree qualifications on offer across all of our research areas, including PhD, MPhil and Masters of Dental Science.
