This ambitious plan will regenerate an 11 acre site in the heart of Cardiff. Prestigious new buildings in a pleasant parkland setting will allow exciting new research and public access to the University’s work.
This new building will be at the heart of the “educational quarter” on the University’s Heath Park campus. It will offer a library, laboratories and seminar space to students at all five of the University’s healthcare schools.
The Positron Emission Tomography Imaging Centre is offering scanning services not previously available in Wales. A joint venture with the NHS, this is benefiting patients and vital research work.
One of many projects to revamp the entire University estate, this £4m development will provide the School with a visually striking “front door”. Inside there will be a foyer, seminar rooms and administrative services for the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate students.
A huge investment in the University’s Information and Communications infrastructure. Staff and students can access a vast array of information and services through a variety of media on and off campus.
Campus Horizons aims to ensure Cardiff University has the world-leading facilities it needs for the 20th Century. The two existing campuses, Cathays Park and Heath Park, will be transformed with new buildings and refurbishments of existing facilities. A third campus, Maindy Park, will nurture and expand new research initiatives. The Modern Working Environment will provide a high-quality electronic architecture which matches the built architecture.
Many projects are now under way, some at the early planning stages, others nearing final completion.
