Our privacy policy
Your privacy is important to us and this notice sets out the information that will be collected in your use of the Cardiff University students app and what it will be used for.

When you sign in to the app using your University credentials, we may process personal information as specified in our student and applicant data protection notice and to personalise your app experience and help us provide relevant communications. For example, we may send you communications about your course or show you the status of facilities located in your residence. This information will be kept in line with the university’s data retention policy or for up to two years after your last log in.
Usage information may also include usage monitoring in order to improve the service and communication.

We collect this information to help us improve the user experience of the app. This information is not held in a way in which individual users can be reasonably identified and there is no need for us to do so. In any event, the information is stored securely and accessible to those who require it for review of app usage.
Google/Apple may collect app usage statistics and crash information and you can find out how they use your data as part of the terms and conditions of the Play Store and App store.
